Here is the thing about concrete in Orlando

You can drive on a cracked driveway for the rest of your life. Nobody calls us because the car will not make it to the garage. They call because they have a nice house, the driveway is the first thing anyone sees, and one day they are done looking at it.

The reason it cracked is almost always under the slab, not in it. Sand with no compacted base, water washing out one edge at the street, or a live oak root that has had twenty years to push up. We find out which before we quote, because the fix for each is different and so is the price. Then our crew handles it start to finish, usually in a day.

We find the why first

Ten minutes with a level and a probe tells us what moved. A patch over a washed-out base lasts a season. Fix the base and the repair lasts.

Repair when repair is right

One failed section on a sound slab gets a section, not a new driveway. We do not sell a replacement to someone who needs a repair.

A real base under every pour

Compacted limestone under every slab we pour. It is the one thing that separates a thirty-year driveway from a five-year one, and the thing cheap quotes skip.

The owner answers the phone

You meet the owner at the estimate. The crew that shows up is ours. Miss us and a text comes back from the same number within about a minute.

What we do

Concrete, pavers and masonry

Driveways and patios first, because that is what people call about. Then everything else a slab can be.

Concrete Driveway Repair

Cracked, lifting or sinking? We find out why before we fix it, then cut out the failed section and pour it back to match.

  • Cracked and settling sections cut out and repoured
  • The cause fixed first: base, drainage or roots
  • New concrete matched to the existing slab
  • Most repairs done in one visit
  • Free on-site assessment

Driveway Replacement

When a driveway is past repairing we say so. Then we tear it out, rebuild the base and pour one that will not do the same thing.

  • Old slab broken out and hauled away
  • Base rebuilt and compacted, not poured over
  • Reinforced and poured to Florida code
  • Broom, smooth or decorative finish
  • Licensed, insured and bonded

Driveway Resurfacing

If the slab underneath is solid, you may not need a new driveway. Resurfacing gives you a new face on the old concrete for a fraction of the cost.

  • For slabs that are sound but worn or stained
  • Surface cleaned, repaired and overlaid
  • Costs well under replacement
  • Smooth or textured finish
  • Honest answer on whether yours qualifies

Concrete Driveways

New construction, a driveway where there was gravel, or a second lane. Built on a real base with the fall set so water leaves the slab.

  • Layout, excavation and base preparation
  • Reinforced and poured with proper slope
  • Control joints placed so cracks go where we want
  • Broom, smooth or stamped finish
  • Free written estimate before we start

Driveway Extension

Need room for a second car, a boat or a turnaround? We widen what you have and match it, so the new concrete does not look like an afterthought.

  • Two feet, three feet or a full extra lane
  • Matched to the existing slab in color and finish
  • Tied in so the joint does not separate
  • Parking pads and turnarounds
  • HOA drawings supplied where required

Concrete Patios

Outdoor living starts with a slab that drains the right way. We pour patios, lanai extensions and pool decks that stay level and dry.

  • Poured to drain away from the house
  • Broom, smooth or stamped texture
  • Lanai extensions and pool decks
  • Fire pit and seating pads
  • Built for Florida sun and afternoon storms

Stamped and Decorative Concrete

The look of stone or brick in one continuous slab. Stamped, colored and sealed, with no joints to weed and no pavers to resettle.

  • Stone, slate and brick patterns
  • Integral and antique color
  • Sealed against UV and staining
  • Driveways, patios and walkways
  • The paver look without the paver maintenance

Slabs, Footings and Foundations

From a hot tub pad to the foundation under a garage. Poured to the thickness the job actually needs, inspected where the county says so.

  • Shed, garage and workshop slabs
  • AC pads, hot tub pads and generator pads
  • Footings and stem walls for additions
  • Monolithic slabs for new structures
  • Permitted and inspected where required

Paver Driveways and Patios

Pavers done right are a base job, not a laying job. We build the base so the pattern stays flat through ten summers of rain.

  • Base excavated, built and compacted
  • Edge restraints and polymeric joint sand
  • Brick, concrete and travertine pavers
  • Paver sealing and re-sanding
  • Settled paver repair and re-leveling

Masonry and Retaining Walls

Block and stone work with a footing under it and drainage behind it. Retaining walls that hold, and repairs for the ones that did not.

  • CMU block walls, filled and reinforced
  • Retaining walls with real footings and drainage
  • Stone and veneer facing
  • Cracks, settlement and leaks repaired
  • Residential and commercial

Sidewalks and Walkways

A walkway that is level, drains and does not trip anyone. New paths, and the sections of old ones that have lifted or sunk.

  • Entry walks, side yard paths and pool paths
  • Correct slope and control joints
  • Trip hazards cut out and repoured
  • Broom, smooth or stamped
  • City sidewalk repair where the county allows

Concrete and Paver Sealing

Florida sun and afternoon rain are hard on a slab. A good seal keeps water out of the pores, color in the surface and stains off the top.

  • Penetrating and film-forming sealers
  • Oil, rust and tannin stains addressed first
  • Protects against UV, water and mildew
  • Paver re-sanding and sealing
  • Recommended every two to three years in Florida

Not sure if it is a repair or a replacement?

Text us a photo of the damage. We can usually tell you over the phone which one it is before anyone drives out, and the on-site estimate is free either way.

How it works

From the first call to the finished pour

Three steps, and the owner is on the first two.

1. Call, text or send the form

Tell us what you have and send a photo if you can. We will often tell you repair or replacement on the phone, and we book the on-site look within a day.

2. Free on-site estimate

The owner comes out, measures, checks the base and the drainage, and gives you a written, itemized price. The number does not move once you say yes.

3. The crew does the job

Cut, base, forms, pour, finish, clean up. Most repairs and extensions are one day; a replacement is a demo day and a pour day. Then we walk it with you.

Crack repair

Cut out the failure, pour it back to match

The standard fix for a driveway that failed in one spot and is sound everywhere else. Slide to compare.

The same driveway after the failed section was cut out and repoured, the surface level and uniform
A Central Florida ranch home driveway with wide cracks and a settled, broken section near the garage, before repair
Before After

Drag the handle to see the same driveway before and after

The failed section is saw-cut on clean lines, the old concrete and loose base come out, the base is rebuilt and compacted, and new concrete is poured in to match the finish and the joint lines around it. The crack does not come back because the thing that caused it is gone.

  • Cause diagnosed before anything is cut
  • Base and drainage fixed, not just the surface
  • Finish, color and joints matched to the slab
  • Usually done in one visit
  • Honest call when it is past repairing

Service areas

Concrete across Central Florida

Ten areas, each with its own ground and its own driveway problems. We pour them differently because of it.

Orlando

Fifty-year-old ranch homes on their first driveway, and live oak roots that have had decades to work on it. Our home base.

Windermere

Long driveways on big lakefront lots, and an architectural review board that wants a drawing before anything is poured.

Dr. Phillips

A 1980s and 90s build-out hitting thirty years. Driveways here are deciding between one more repair and a replacement.

Winter Park

The hardest root problem in Central Florida, under oaks the city will not let you cut. We work around them, not through them.

Metrowest

Where we live. A 1990s golf community whose driveways are all hitting the same age at the same time.

Winter Garden

Horizon West is the fastest growing place we work, and brand-new driveways on fill dirt are settling in year three.

Ocoee

Seventy-year-old homes near Starke Lake and five-year-old homes off the 429. Two different jobs in the same city.

Clermont

The only hills in Central Florida. Sloped driveways where the grade and the drainage matter more than anywhere else we pour.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

The things people ask before they call.

How much does concrete driveway repair cost in Orlando?

A single cracked or settled section cut out and repoured typically runs from a few hundred dollars to around two thousand, depending on the size of the section and whether the base under it needs rebuilding. A full replacement in Orlando is usually in the range of six to ten dollars a square foot plus demolition. We quote the actual driveway after a free on-site look, and the number we give you is the number you pay.

Can my cracked driveway be repaired, or does it need replacing?

If the cracking is in one area and the rest of the slab is level and sound, it is a repair. If there are several wide cracks, the surface is spalling and a corner has settled, the slab is at the end of its life and a repair just moves the problem. We tell you which one you have at the first visit, and when it is close we quote both.

Why do driveways crack so much in Central Florida?

Three things, almost every time. A base that was never compacted, so the slab settles unevenly on sand. Water washing the base out from under one edge, usually at the street. Or a live oak root that has had twenty years to push up from underneath. Occasionally it is a surface crack from a pour finished too fast in summer heat, which is cosmetic. The fix depends on which one it is, so we find out first.

Do you only do driveways?

Driveways and patios are what most people call about, and they are most of what we pour. We also do slabs, footings and foundations, paver driveways and patios, sidewalks and walkways, retaining walls and block work, stamped and decorative concrete, and sealing. C2 is a Florida certified general contractor, so the structural work and the permits that come with it are inside what we do.

Which areas do you cover?

Orlando, Windermere, Dr. Phillips, Winter Park, Metrowest, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Clermont, Kissimmee and Altamonte Springs. We are based in Metrowest, so the west side of Orlando is usually a same-day estimate. If you are just outside one of those, call and ask.

When is the best time to pour concrete in Orlando?

November through March. The ground is drier, the afternoon storms are gone, and the concrete cures slowly and evenly instead of flashing off in ninety-degree heat. We pour year round and plan around the forecast, but a winter pour is the easiest one to get perfect, and the schedule fills up for it.
